Remove Welcome bar?

I dont know exactly what it is called but I want to remove the bar on the index page that says

Welcome User, Has the search box and Recent Photo sellections.

I have my gallery integrated with VB3 and I think it is a little goofy repeating the welcome as it is in the vb navbar.

well you want to remove the whole thing then edit index.php and remove the call to indexhead.tmpl
