PP521: How to hide image title and author on index page
Hi,
1. I would like to hide on the index page the title of an image and the username below it.
2. If I am in a category, I can sort "thumbnail" only. But I can not make it mandatory as a first display choice i the categories - or is this possible?
How to do both?
Thanks in advance

You could modify your feature.tmpl and remove the $ptitle and $puser variables to achieve something like that.
As far as number 2 it is standard in the software in 5.3. In Admin => Edit categories within the cat editor is this option just set accordingly Code: Content visible to verified customers only.

Thats what I said this edit I stated is for the featured blocks. If you want to remove the username and title from those blocks on admin page edit feature template and move the variables noted.

mmmhh,
I did that before I posted above, but it did not work, so I assumed it would be only for other pages.
If I remove $ptitle from feature.tmpl, I can see still tha image name on index page in recent photos and random photos
I changed this line:
<span class="{$Style['small']}">{$ptitle[$x]}<br />{$puser[$x]}</span>
to this line:
<span class="{$Style['small']}">{$puser[$x]}</span>

How about your cache? You probally need to refresh that as if you truly removed the variable it would not display |

Hi
I deleted my cache, closed the browser and opened it again, then went to the gallery. The image name is still there. I also set the cache in admin menu to zero.

Well make sure your editing the correct file then
If your using a non vb3 integrated photopost edit the feature template in the main templates folder and if this is vb3 edit the file in the tempates/vb3enhanced folder |
