More Smf cookies...

Running PP 5.2 and SMF 1.05...
I've read about 10 posts concerning SMF cookies but am still having an issue.

The actual integration works fine (members, stylesheets) but once the members leave the forum via a photopost link, users have to login again.

My settings:
PhotoPost Cookie Path: /
Forum Cookie Prefix:
PhotoPost Cookie Domain: .mysite.com
Your SMF Cookie Name: SmfCookie10

I find if I use "www.mysite.com" for the cookie domain the logins carry over, but we just can't log out. I apologize if this solution has already been posted.

Well SMF does not have a cookie domain setting that I know of. So basically you can leave domain blank in photopost.

Just make sure photopost is on the same domain as in if you forum is installed at mysite.com then photopost needs to be on mysite.com. If your forum is on www.mysite.com photopost must be on mysite.com.

Until SMF properly allows cookie settings this is all I can really state.

Thanks for the quick reply!

I figured that was probably the case. When I removed the photopost domain cookie setting, there was no change though. Both installs are on www.mysite.com...but I'll keep playing till I figure it out.

One other thing, I'm use to using vbulletin w/ PP so I'm unsure how to make the inc_features work for smf. Is this still possible? I'm guessing I'd do the include call in the main index.php page and then use $photopostfeature in the actual template file? Am I even close? :0

Thanks for your help.

yes but you would need to modify the file to fit the smf style etc

As far as cookies yeah your limited on SMF as far as the cookie respects. Use a browser called Mozilla cause you can view the exact cookie that is set on each product and that should help narrow down the issue. If you can't find it drop me a url and login
