Removing "Upload Photos" Link I would like to require that my members create an album before they post any pictures. It appears that the next and previous photos links only work correctly when posts are within an album. It seems to me that the easiest way to accomplish this would be to remove the "Upload Photos" link from the homepage. This way members would have to 1st create an album before they can post a pic. What template or file do I have to modify in order to hide or remove the "upload photos" link? Or is there and easier way that I can require an album to be created before a photo can be uploaded. Thanx, Stu |
Well removing the upload link would be removing there ability to upload you could do so why in edit usergroups turning off that groups right to upload You can further define upload permissions by edit categories within admin where you can specify what groups can upload to certain categories |
How can I then hide the upload photos link (without disabling the ability to upload photos) and rename the "My Albums" link to say "Upload Pics here" so members are linked the page that requires an album to be created before it can be uploaded. Is there any way to do this? or because the Upload photos link appears on so many pages is it not possible. I have tried unsucessfully to acomplish this through the admin catergories and usergroups permission. Please help. Thanx, Stu |
Well I suppose you could alter the topmenu function in pp-inc.php and remove the upload link but no one would be able to upload as a result so I would not suggest it. |
