Watermark - how to?

Does someone know of a tutorial or website that will show me how to create a text based watermark overlay image .PNG file for use with PhotoPost?

I have PaintShop Pro and have found ways to do it, but only on an image by image basis manually. What I actually want to create is a .PNG file so I can then have PhotoPost overlay it on all my images.

simple create a transparent png image with whichever text you want in paintshop.

You then setup which watermarking you want on the fly (NON PERMANENT) and permanent watermarking in admin watermark options or image protection depends on which one you want. You can in scan database if doing permanent watermarking choose to watermark all non watermarked images.

I must be missing a concept here...

I have new install of Photopost working integrated with vBulletin 3.5.3..

I have made simple watermark.png file to test with.

I have gone into my Admincp and set the server path to my image (I am not using a transparent image yet as I just need something to work).


So, under "Edit Settings" >> "Watermark Options" I have :

Enable watermarking of photos with overlay image? yes

If enabled, position of overlay watermark on images. NorthWest

Full server path to watermark overlay image. CHECKED AND RECHECKED

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Now, when I go to "Database" >> "Scan database" >> Check here to watermark unwatermarked files and I select a category with just one of my images in it I get the message:

Processing may take a while... please be patient and wait the for FINISHED message...

Checking photo #4: done.

Finished!

click here to return to admin

But, when I go in and look at the image there is no watermark?

This is supposed to be adding a "watermark" directly to the JPEG image I have uploaded, right? Is the issue because I am trying to do this to an Admin photo? Is there another setting somewhere in the code I am missing?

Have you set in Edit Categories the watermark permissions based on usergroup?

I am having the same issue.

I have yes selected in Watermark Options
I have the "server" path to the .png
I have checked all the boxes in the edit -> catagories for "These checked usergroups will have their photos stamped with your overlay photo.*"

Is there anything else?

Depends what product you using? What is the watermark path and what type of watermark you trying to apply.
