Driving me mad!

IE that is... all my thumbs on PP (im using rounded overlays) you can see the photo poking out of the top... www.sgurl.org/gallery, works in FF, but not IE, i've even absmiddled

I would tend to think thats your overlay

Remember the actual image is a background to the td which uses all available area of the td

thanx chuck but it seems impossible! - i've altered the overlay to stretch it length ways, but still nope!, i'd absmiddled my heart out... just cant find the cause...it's weird, i've litterally spend hours on this without an effect!

well if its a tranparent layover you would not have a problem. Point being it seems your image top is clear and that gray bar is not at the absolute top is what I was trying to convey.

Yeah i got ya... i sussed it, nothing else on this good earth would do anything apart from this >

background-position: center 2px i had to nudge the thumb down 2 pixels for it to be covered by the overlay (original dimensions)
