Unhappy Moving pics to member album ?

Before we upgrade from version 4.8.2 to 5.2 we used to have the possibility to move pictures into the user's member gallery. Since the upgrade this option seems to have disappeared from the drop-down menu. I've tried playing with the personal album options in de CP, but that didn't help us much.

Did I miss something ?

How about you either use either approve photos in admin or hit EDIT when viewing the picture to get the full list of albums with categories

Thank you for your quick reply Chuck!

We do not want to approve every post, but we do want to have the possibility to move pictures the the users' album.

When I hit the edit button, I don't have the option to move the picture to the personal album like we used to have before. That's very odd
Hope you can help me on this one...

Thanks mjm.

I ajusted that file as described in the link, but it still doesn't bring back the user album option in the drop down menu.

I think we have a misunderstanding here.
We are not using member albums, BUT when we where still using 4.8 I know we had the option to select "user album" from the drop-down list. This would place the picture under the users' account, but wasn't visible under any other category. Chuck, I hope you understand what I mean...
This seems to have disappeared I can't emagine I now should work without it.

I am an admin, I did make the ajustment mentioned, but this doesn't show any member account (probably becausa we are not using them).

How can we have this old function back?

A members album is exactly what we are talking about here there PERSONAL ALBUM. We are not talking the member's gallery which is cat 500

If you want personal albums to show for the admin in showphoto catmove box you need to apply the edit meantioned in the thread linked by mjm.

Hmmmm, ok... but in that case I SHOULD SEE a new option in the drop-down menu if I apply the above modification, but I don't....

Right but you say your not using personal albums so what do you expect to show?

Everyone here is under the assumption your talking about the dropdown catmove box on showphoto. The file modification discussed here will allow admins to see personal albums on that box as well as categories

If you are talking about something different please explain in detail so everyone will know what your talking about.

I will try to explain it...

Yes, I am talking about the dropdown catmove box on showphoto.
Before we upgraded from 4.8 to 5.2 and the usernumber conversion for vbulletin we DID have one option in that dropdown menu to move the photo to the members album if it didn't fit in any other category. The only place where this photo could be fount after that was in a /500 forum (http://www.tsjechie.net/photopost/sh...500/ppuser/***)

I'm a little confused about the member albums though.
As you can see on our board, each member has it's own personal album and I just can't understand why I don't see an option in the drop-down menu to move it to the album anymore

http://www.tsjechie.net/photopost/sh...rs.php/cat/500
I am the board admin and the photopost admin. Am I missing something?

Your showing me the members gallery thats the default category thats not a personal album.

Member's must have a personal album to be viewable on the cat dropdown

You have no albums so nothing is going to show there

Ok, so how can I move a post to the members gallery like we could do before?

I could re-install 4.8, import my backed up database and show it to you... Shall I ?

If you want to move the photo from a category, and show ONLY IN Members Gallery ...
Dropdown menu > select Members Gallery > Submit

---------

If you want members photos to show in a category, AND ALSO SHOW IN Members Gallery, go to ...

Admin Panel > Show Gallery Options > Do you want Members Gallery to show all of a users photos? > Yes

Hope this helps,
~ Mark

Strange... it should be at the very top of the drop down menu.

You could check permissions in Members Gallery ...

Admin panel > Edit Categories > Members Gallery > Edit ...

Check that the usergroup permissions are as desired ...
For example ...
These checked usergroups can upload to this category,
unless a usergroup's overall upload access is disabled.

You should see it at the top of the cat drop down Members Gallery

Try downloading the build again and upload pp-inc.php

I had the same problem. Uploaded 5.21 from a fresh download and this now works. I'm able to transfer photos from a category to a user's gallery.
