approved photos I was recently upgraded by Chuck, and I am having some problems that I could use help with please. When I approve a photo through the admin panel, there are options for which album the approved photo will be posted in. Everytime I approve a photo it is ending up in another members album and "not" being posted to that members gallery. This was not the case before the upgrade. I don't want it to go into an album, but instead to the members gallery. I have tried turning off the albums but they still show up, and the prompt for which album to place them in still is there also. I am also getting users who are getting "no permission" popups when trying to upload pictures to the gallery. Can you please tell me what I should be doing to correct this problem? Thank You. :) |
Explain what your doing please? If you approve a photo it should be approved for the category it was uploaded to unless of course you change the category. If you get members who do not have permission to upload what error do you get? I need explicit steps and errors to assist thanks. |
Okay when a user tries to upload a photo, where it says "Choose a category to upload your images to. Pick a category that relates most to your image(s)", there are "no" choices in the drop down menu. So the user oploads the photo and then it waits approval. When "I" go to approve the photo their is a list of categories to approve the photo to, and they belong to other users. There are 2 other options listed there that read "New Bike" & "New Album". I have tried selecting each one and it appears that once thay are approved they show up only in a new album, and do "not" show up in the members gallery. Thats the best way I can explain it. I'm sure you still have my info chuck. Harleyarena.net if you need to see what I am talking about. Thanx man. And, I am getting registered users who are telling me that they are getting messages that they do not have permission to upload photos to their galleries. |
Try it now. In the initial release of 5.21 Members galleries was not included in the drop down which was a mistake |
Yes sir that fixed that problem, Could that also have something to do with why some people are telling me they aren't allowed to upload pics. I have had a couple of people tell me this. Heres an actual email. "I put some new stuff on the bike and I took pictures but it says that I don't have permission to upload photos in my gallery". Do you think thats possible or is it maybe a "user" error. Thanx again Chuck. |
Nevermind I fixed that 1 myself. Admin error. I have them in a seperate usergroup and never allowed them access. Should be fixed now. Thanx for all your help chuck it is very much appreciated. I also installed the cell phone hack today thanx to the link you posted, great job. Thanx again!!! ;) |
