Members upload as Unregistered

I have 5.21 and everything seems to be inorder untill recently when they upload, there name says "Unregistered".

I have photopost set up as a standalone program and not part of any forum databases.

I have also set must be registered to view pics etc.

What is the problem with this Unregistered member names?

No usergroup called "Unregistered", COPPA usergroup have no access, and the usergroup "Members" have upload rights.

If members need to login to upload, then why does it say they are Unregistered?

Sorry Chuck but i don't have "Unregistered" as a usergroup (nor Registered). Might it be because i have install it as a standalone (as per my first post)?.

I current have

Administrator
Banned
Members
COPPA
Premium Members (I created)
Moderators (I created)

Members that uploaded with username "Unregistered" are registered members. I know who they are.

The usergroups I meantioned are in an internal install.

Looks to me like you have altered yours. You would need to look in the database what groupid each has so I can see more what you did but usergroup 3 no matter what you rename it to is Unregistered. I take it you renamed Unregistered to something else which is a NO NO.

According to your listings, the 3rd usergroup would be my "Members" group.

I'm thinking it was becos i had "Assign Albums to Cats?" as "No" for this group, that when they tried to assign to albums etc, it won't recognise them and therefore gives out their name as Unregistered.

I suggest you go back and see what I wrote. I never said anywhere here usergroup entry 3 was members

The usergroup id number and names are posted above in post 6. You have renamed yours in edit usergroups it would appear if they are not as I show.

Usergroup 3 in an internal install is Unregistered period.

If that was so, how do u explain why one one user upload and it shows their name as Unregistered whereas others uploads and it show their name as their user name?

Because they have a username thats why

Simply put hardcoded in photopost.php usergroup 3 is the unregistered placeholder. You have renamed this group to something else and allowed it to upload. Until you correct this unregistered users will be allowed to upload.

Do you understand that you can not alter the base usergroup without adverse affects?

This is what a standalone install looks like

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
