| How do add a direct link to pic at showphoto above ubbcode
How do show a direct link at showphoto above ubbcode?
For example, I would like to have the URL above the ubb code showing as...
Direct Link: http: //www.mysite/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=1409
This way members will know how to link to, and show pics from the gallery to our forums....
Direct Link: http: .............. Links to medium pic
IMG Link ------ We have this to show thumb for the sake of dial ups / economy
Thanks!
~ Mark

Off the top of my head - to use the same copy link and select code, above this line in showphoto.tmpl: Code: Content visible to verified customers only.
you could add: Code: Content visible to verified customers only.

Works like a charm!
Thank you very much Michael!
Now users will have no doubts how to link pics from the Gallery.
May I suggest that you include this as a standard Y/N option, as is the UBB code option in a future version.
Cheers,
~ Mark

We want the Direct Link to go to /showphoto and not /data
Carole has tried to follow the directions above but the files are different now.
How do we change this?
Thanks,
Mark

ubbcode has to have the true image path to the file and not a script link to show the picture on the forums. Therefore a script link to the file is not going to show the photo inline in the forums but a red x.
You can change the direct link code similar to what Michael posted above that you did for ubbcode do the same for direct code like so Code: Content visible to verified customers only.

ie, instead of UBB link going to:
/data/548/medium/pic.jpg[/img]
to go to
/data/548/thumbs/pic.jpg[/img]
She changed this in 5 mins last time but this time it's got her stumped.
... maybe it's just the 100 oF oven-like weather here in Texas.
