Problem with calendar and width.

Probly not a bug but it doesn't look good on the index page.

After installing 5.2 I now had to scroll half a page if I have the calendar option to on.
I shortened the months in english.php but still have a problem when calendar is in the on the right side on index page.

Have a look Here

Remember what you see is with months shortened in english.php
If I leave months as full charcters then I have to scroll about half a page with my settings at 1024 X 768.

Can the calendar be moved to bottom of index page so it might solve this problem with scrolling or can the calenda box be made smaller so it is same size as statistic and top poster width. This would solve the problem if left on the side bar.

I think if you set your thumbnails to 4 across you might not have a scroll

Your issue is more not so much the calendar but how much information your trying to put on a 1024 wide screen. Your recent thumbnail blocks (center) takes up alot of the room so your page can do nothing but scroll

The calendar pal is a tad wider than a normal pal box and causes no issues on our sites. Your issue is your using two sidebars which can make this issue.

For you I would suggest you edit the sidebar_rightclose template and remove the calendar template include and put it in the undercat sidebar template

Thanks omegatron for having a look.
I will see if I can move it to the bottom of the page.
In cpanel where it says to activate it in side bar will that have any effect if I move it to undercat sidebar template.
Will it still control the off and on of the calendar.

Be sure and read my thread about random images not showing all on index page.

Yes that is what I did to make it work.
Its hit and miss for me sometimes when I don't get all the code in a reply to move.
I am hoping there can be an option to choose which place to put the calendar in another update for PP.
