Square Cropped Thumbnails?

Is it possible to create square cropped thumbnails? Basically with the same width and height (100x100px).

I don't see a setting for it in the control panel.

Hello

Thumbnails are always scaled down to the ratio of the picture so there is a max width and height. You can not make them exactly square unless if course you are uploading exactly square images

Most photo packages have an option to easily crop the thumbnails to be the exact width and height. Does PhotoPost allow mods? I couldn't see this as being too difficult to do. Even smaller packages offer such an option.

Well the ratio is the problem and I dont see where any of our direct competative applications crop thumbnails. To my knowledge they handle thumbnails the same way we do by scaling down keeping the ratio

You may mod your files as you choose yes.

Smartor Photo Album (which isn't a full album app, but just phpbb mod-add-on) has such a feature. Flickr does of course. Gallery offers it as a module. It might be nice to add such a feature to future versions? I was under the impression that coming from Smartor, which is a free small add-on, that Photopost would have such a simple feature being that it's on version 5.14 now.
