Thumbs down I was hacked and photopost is gone

I have a cpl forums on a dedicated server that have photopost and both of them today are missing. The whole photo post folder is missing from my server. How can I fix this and how could this happen?

Hello what do you mean cpl forum?

Basically your would need to restore backups of the database and files

I would think someone broke into your server. Your host may be able to assist in knowing whats wrong and restoring site backups

I have two liscenes and both forums VB are still there but the PP folder was deleted from my server. why would they just delete the pp folders? My host is going to try and restore things to the way they were before this happened. They say its a bad php script somewhere but they dont know what one The SQL tables are still there do you think it will be ok ? What if I just re upload all the PP files Will that work?

If you download photopost and upload the scripts edit the config files with the right info and run the upgrades for anyone's you need to run you will be fine

I dont know of why someone would just delete that directory
