| missing user galleries and "My Photos" link not working
Hi! I am changing over from Gallery to Photopost, I have copied all my user, album, and photo details across from the text based database into the Photopost mysql database and have copied all the images across and I can now log in, see all the images, see all the comments, etc. However I cannot get the user galleries to show up ever when it is set to "yes" in the admin "index options" and when I log in and click on the "My Photos" link in the top left hand corner I get a page saying "You do not have permission to view this category. ". When I click on the "My Albums" link also in the top left hand corner it works fine.
Any suggestions on what I have missed somewhere?
Thanks!

Well interesting to see 3000 some categories but I dont see your members gallery link on the index but thats probally cause you have it turned off in index options in admin
I can view it this way and it works fine http://www.smudgesintime.com.au/phot...howmembers.php
However you might want to redownload the build and upload showgallery.php as there is an issue with UNREGISTERED USER'S VIEWING A GALLERY in this format that was fixed recently http://www.smudgesintime.com.au/phot...t=500&ppuser=1 |

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly! There are 50 categories, not sure where 3000 came from...
Like I said in my original post I have "Display Members Gallery on the main index page?" set to yes in the admin settings, I have turned it off and turned it on again and still no luck.
I can see the usergalleries using the link you sent, but when you click on any of the users you get the error saying you do not have permission to view this category. This message shows up if you are registered and logged on and ever if it is your own user gallery you are trying to view!
I just updated tonight to the newly released version by copying all the files over the top of what I already had there and setting up the config file again, so in effect a fresh install, and the problems are still occurring.
Thanks!
Susan

redownload the build and update the file meantioned. Can not say why your members gallery does not display unless in cat editor for members gallery you have turned if unviewable by every group you might want to check that
I meant 3000 cats because all your categories have unusually high cat numbers

Thanks I think you may have hit upon the problem, I checked in the categories editor for the members gallery and there is not one there, I assume there is supposed to be? How would I set one up, is it just a standard top level category with everything in it or is it something special?
I downloaded the build and replaced that file again for the second time tonight and that still hasn't made any difference, but will do some searching into why I don't have a members gallery showing up in the categories editor.
The categories have such large numbers because I imported it all from my original Gallery program and brought across the category numbers it uses.
Thanks!
Susan

Woohoo we have success!!! I copied the SQL INSERT code from the install.php file and ran it, this created the members galleries category and it all looks good!
Thanks for your help, wish I had have asked sooner, I have been working on this problem for about 3 weeks straight now (yes I am stubborn LOL!).
Thanks!
Susan
