Sorta a modding question: Removing certain tableborders?

I am trying to remove the borders (maybe cellspacing / cell padding) on the Recent Comments, stats, top submitters, and highest rated images boxes. You know the lines that show up in the table that seperates the columns and rows? I want to either set those to 0 or to make them the same color as the background. I was starting with the recent comment box and went from commentspal.tmpl to undercat.tmpl but I couldn't see anywhere on how I would go about changing this. I have done it in previous versions of pp, but in 5.13 it seems to be different... maybe it's just the recent comment box, I haven't checked the others, but if they are the same setup as before I should be able to change them without any problem.

If somebody can help me with this, that would be great. These lines really bug me.

P.S. With photopostdev.com shutdown, can you guys consider creating a forum here for Photopost modding or template questions? It seems these types of questions don't really fit in any forum that's here right now. :\

Thanks.

I do not think you will see that happen here as we do not support hacking. There is no way in the world we could ever do so. Not enough hours in the day I try to answer basic questions here for people.

Well with your templates you need to edit just those specific templates. You can try editing pp-open.tmpl and changing the cellpadding and cellspacing to 0 for the ppopenside variable which should just affect the sidebar boxes. Otherwise you need to alter the specific templates html to suit you.

Thanks that got me on the right track. In 5.13 it appears it's actually in ppopen.tmpl in the templates directory. Two instances, one for other sections and the 2nd for the sidepal tables.

On the note of a forum for "hacks", I'm not saying that they would have to be full blown hacks or anything, but an organized forum where previous questions have been answered by yourself so we had 1 forum to look through to see if a question had already been asked and answered would be nice. Right now, reading the descriptions under the forum headers it's not really known where these "small hacks" can even be asked so they seem to end up in all sorts of places. Just an idea. Maybe just changing a specific forum description to note that is the place to ask for small code modifications would be all that's needed?

Thanks again for getting me on the right track.

Johnny

As a company we do not support code hacking. Vbulletin is the same way. I might throw ya a bone to help out but I do not see us creating some hack forum on our support site.

If you come to our forum trying to ask for support as a matter of company policies I would ask you to upload clean unhacked files. Vbulletin would do the same. We simply can not be expected to support people's hacked installs
