'random images' block at the top of page? & multiple /gallery/index.php?

The 'random images' block - is it possible to change a switch to have this show towards the top of the page or can that only ne achieve using a mod?

Is there a switch to break /gallery/index.php into several pages? The number of categories is getting bigger as each month goes by as each event I photograph gets a new category. I'd ideally like to be able to have /gallery/index.php show all the categories for 2005 with a prominent link for 2004 and 2003 galleries.

Omegatron - your posting didn't make a lot of sense to me.

Each month I create a new top level category and then the events underneath those. I can set the ''Number of top level categories to show on index page' field to 12 which will show the last twelve months but that doesn't help me as the /gallery/index.php page doesn't provide any links to top level categories older than the first 12.

I'm sure there may be other users of Photopost that would like to be able have more than one /gallery/index.php page - maybe a feature to consider for future versions?

Well You are not following. You would set catdepth in the main index page to 1 so you show the catdepth. You can then set the catdepth of the other years as stated to 0 so the only expanded top level is 2005

Then there is this option in Admin Index Options.

Number of top level categories to show on index page?
Set to 0 to show all top level categories on one page

So if you set the cat display order to say 2005 displays first then 2004 2003 and a catdepth of 1 throughout then your 2005 will be on the main index and they will have links to 2004 2003
