media image location in database I wanted to give links to few of the media files i have uploaded in photopost. From the table pp_posts all i can see for a particular media file is that it has the media file name like "whatever.wav". But while uploading, i had also given a image to be used for display purposes. Can someone tell me where in the database is this link of image to the media file referred too. Thanks -V |
The images are on disk in your data directory |

Thanks for the info. But i want to generate a URL for the media file, which just like in Photopost, shows a photograph for media file on the frontend. For example, when we try to view a media file in PP, the URL will be usually like: http://wahustad.com/gallery/showphot...o=1268&cat=585 In this case a photograph will come up, and you can play the media file. Now i am not able to figure out in which table this connection for the photograph to the media file is made, so that the photo comes up for the media file. -V |
There is no photo thats the media file itself. I dont follow really what your asking. You have two choices for media files. One you allow them to play embedded or you can elect to have a download link. This is switched on or off in showphoto options in the admin side of Photopost |

When a user goes to view gallery where only media files are located, he sees the default images for the media files. All i need to know is how the default image for the media file is referenced in regards to the media file. Is there some table where the location of the image for the media file is specified. FYI: For me- image is a jpeg image and media file is a .wav type format. |
The photos inserts in the photos table has all the information you need. View one of the media entries in phpmyadmin and you should know what you need to do. |
