Adding a bunch of cats at a time with mysql query?

Is something like this possible?

My site is organized like this:

Action > D > Doom 3 > PC

I was wondering if it would be possible to run a query that would create a new category called "User Submitted" and put it in the the "Doom 3" category, but for all games. Besides action I also have other genre of games too.

Is something like this possible? Possible enough for somebody to help me with?

Well creating cats are two separate steps and you would need a script for cats as remember the actual directories are also created when a cat is created.

This is not something you can just do in phpmyadmin and expect to work right. You must use the cat editor in admin to properly setup categories

OK that answers the first part of my question I had. The 2nd part now from your answer is then, is would it be possible to change the atrributes of already created cats in the gallery? So in the Doom 3 cat I have PC, Xbox and Renders & Concepts. Would it be possible to have a query go through my gallery and make the PC, Xbox and Renders & Concepts cats allow uploads from more usergroups? I just have soo many cats it would be insane to go to each one in the admincp and click the required checkboxes to allow users to upload to those cats. I wouldn't want people to be able to upload right into the Doom 3 cat though, just the subcats inside the Doom 3 cat.
