Edit phrases, put a little image beside each category

Hello, I have 2 modifications i want to make, but not sure how to go about it.

First of all, I want to change some of the phrases the script uses. For example, i want to change the phrase "Photo" to "Media".

Also, the table that shos all the categories, there is an empty cell on the left (first column). How do I put a little image there?

Lastly, i found the templates are incredibly hard to edit/understand. Any tips?

well you would edit the language file english.php and change photo to media

Next that empty cell is for cat avatars. You can view a photo in the specific category and select make index thumb

I dont know what tips to give you on the templates as just saying there are hard doesnt give me any room for suggestions. The template themselves are php conditional clauses with standard html.

The reason i say they are hard to edit is because you cannot see the results. Since it is a mix of php//html, you cannot view the changes in dreamweaver. How do you know what you are editing as the code is uncommented.

There is a thread on the documentation forum that explains what template goes to what script but you will need some basic understanding of php conditional clauses to know what your doing or editing.
