uploadphoto.php errors after categories were edited - 3.5.0 beta 3

Running vb 3.5.0 Beta 3 with PP 5.13

Fresh install.

Everything worked fine, I uploaded two images after I installed everything, and those went fine. I then edited the categories, tried to upload more, then I encountered these errors. So I think it has something to do with when I edited the categories, it didnt migrate all the changes to the db and update all the related dependencies properly. I think.

I wanted to do the initial editing of the category titles, so I did; it seemed to save the change, but errors appeared, and now I cannot upload photos.
Helping me with this will most likely help you port up to the upcoming gold vb release.

I clicked 'edit' next to the 'member galleries' category - changed some words around for the description, clicked save, and get this:
Warning: mysql_fetch_row(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /gallery/pp-inc.php on line 2466 - although it did seem to save my change.
So now I go to the site to test an upload, and now I cannot upload a photo to this category - at `/uploadphoto.php?cat=views`, I get this at the top of the screen: Warning: mysql_fetch_row(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /gallery/uploadphoto.php on line 133

I ignore it, locate an image on my HDD, upload it, it seems to process fine, tells me my image was uploaded successfully, but - nothing got uploaded, no new images on the site.

Everything worked up until I edited the category title text.

All info appreciated. Any suggestions?

Well

We do not support VB 3.50 beta but there are a few users running it with an altered header-inc.php file I posted for them to use and test with. I show no problems running vb 3.50 although we dont support it and my test copy functions fine.

I think your issue lies elsewhere. I can not say what your issue is as do you have a snapshot of your categories table for us to see?

Biggest thing is make sure you have all the proper files uploaded. Your pp-inc.php line error does not correspond to a mysql line in my pp-inc.php which leads me to believe you have an old pp-inc.php uploaded.

Thanks for that reply. I had PM'd Michael with an URL to check out.
Didn't hear back, but thats ok.

The installation does work.
What happened was I somehow worked my way into a link to
/uploadphoto.php?cat=views
and that is where the error occurs.
Remove cat=views and viola problem seems to go away.
So I'm alright with it for now.
I'm not sure how to recreate my way into finding the page that gave me the URL to the page on error.
I wasnt typing that in my address bar, something pointed me there and I followed it.
In any event, all seems good.

I'm about to open a new thread with some 404 errors photopost creates - its looking for a list of .js files that don't exist. (of course, in my non-supported vb version that I ventured off to experiment with..)
see you
