catp, I don't know what that is I only know basics like I have cookies - delte them - that's it, but I know how to get round it now so I'm leaving this as is. thanks on that one.

======================

"Unhide is on showphoto just like the hide link so you can view the photo as admin and unhide it just like you hid it."

...
But how do I get to the place where the "showphoto" link is supposed to be.

I suspect that what you are saying is that it replaces the "Hide Image" on this line ..................
Admin Options: Edit Photo · Hide Image · Make Album Cover · Make Sticky when hidden.

If so, to show it I need to get to the page that says "showphoto" 1st and if I can't see the image I can't get to that page, so how can I click the "showphoto" link, where is it, can you give me any directions, or is there any documentation at all on how to use the software (not the install one tho)?

I have a few other things I need sorted but will wait till I get this done first then make a new topic.

Thanks

If your logged in as admin you see all images whether they are hidden or not. Thus you just click on the image and unhide it.

Admin has access to everything. catp is a cookie that stores a private category password. If you login as a different user and still have that password on your computer you will see images that additional user may not have normal access to see. Simple delete cookies.

The private album was made by me, (not in the test site but
a new one on the main site) logged in as Liahona - the Admin,

1. I uploaded 5 photo's of which 2 photo's were hidden via
the "Hide Image" link

Then I ........

2. Logged out

3. Deleted all cookies

4. Went to Documents and Settings/cookies folder
and checked that all cookies were in
fact deleted, they were all deleted.

Then I ........

4. Logged back into fusion (as Liahona-Admin)

5. Went to the photopost main page (as Liahona-Admin)

6. There was no photo's of my private album on the main page.

7. Clicked the "My Albums" link

Q's. I could only see 3 photo's (the other 2 were hidden)
I was logged in as Liahona - admin so why did I not see the
hidden images as you said in the previous post?

To check for sure I ....

1. Logged out of fusion first then PP as PP won't allow me
to logout 1st.

2. Deleted all cookies and checked the cookie folder

3. Logged in again as Liahona - Admin
(there are now 2 cookies 1 fusion + 1 PP

4. Went to "My Albums"

5. Clicked the link of the Private Album

6. I only seen 3 photo's

The other 2 hidden photo's were hidden from me even logged in
as Liahona - Admin and the owner of the private album.

So as a member and the ADMIN I still can't see any hidden
photo's so I can't get to the "show photo" link.

------------------------------------------------------

I hope you can understand what I'm trying to say now as I'm
just about ready to bin PP.

George

You keep switching topics here. hide or unhide and catp are two separate issues.

Which install you talking about you have multiple installs of Photopost here. Your main one has 96 images.

http://www.hillcrestknitwear.com/pho...ry.php?cat=536

You can use approve photos in admin to see and unhide hidden images as well.

Well, I think your reading it wrong, and I'm fed up of typing the same thing and not getting the correct answer.

If you would tell people how to do things instead of telling them what to do we would have had this fixed ages ago.

Or get some documentation on the programme, how am I to know what the heck is what, I never wrong the thing.

I still can't show the photo that I, as admin hid, so I've had to closed the image gallery till I find a new one, this one just isn't going anywhere and as far as I can see I'm going round in circles and getting nowhere.

I wrote 1st post
Quote:
Is there a options/features to stop a private album image being viewed in the "recent photos" on the main page, or any other way?

I tried the "Hide Image" well, it does hide it, but it hides it that much I can't find it again, except if it has a comment against it as it shows up in the Recent Comments (more...) view. So apart from getting to it that way (incase there is no comments) how would I get it back?

Is there a "Unhide Image " link anywhere else except me going via the comments link?

I now have a private album that shows the photo's on the "recent photos" and Recent Comments view on the main page. I do not want to disable these views, so what is the correct way to do this, I see others with the same problem but cant yet see a fix, or did I miss this or don't know if it will fix my problem.

This being the line in question
Quote:

From my 1st post.

All I got then was..
Quote:
Unhide link is right where the hide link is on showphoto.
If you had told me
Quote:
"go to admin -> approve photos -> hidden photos and unhide it."
In the first place then I would have been finished ages ago.

----------------------------------------------------

Even at this later stage you say
Quote:
You can use approve photos in admin to see and unhide hidden images as well.
Then you say
Quote:
I stated above go to admin -> approve photos -> hidden photos and unhide it.
Which are 2 different ways of saying it, the last one being the the way a none programmer like myself and probably 70% of the members here are, and an answer where I could fix in a matter of seconds instead of the whole day or so I've been on it.

Why you could not have said the last answer in the begining beats me.

Most people buy programmes like PP for the easyness of it, but if we get answers like this it all becomes tiresome, especially when there is no documentation, or have I missed it somewhere.

We will have to look for another image galley in the mean time while this on is being tested.

Well, after looking around is seams that there is no other gallery that comes even close to photopost so we are sticking with it.

I had the same concern with the private album comments showing up on the index. I just added your code here and wanted to comment that you need one more } at the end to make it close the if statement correctly! Thanks for the code!

Now... how do I make it so that the private album comments don't show up in comshow.php?

Thanks!
