Daily limit excluded category?

Is there any way I could exclude certain categories from the daily upload limit? Reason I ask is that I want to limit new members to 1 image per day but we also run contests and if they can only submit the single image per day I'm concerned they would not enter the contests.

Only if you modified the queries that are checking for the COUNT(*) within the past 24 hours (both in uploadphoto.php and bulkupload.php).
