Uploading avi !!! Not working

Iv'e just tried to upload an avi file that was 9710 kb in size and all get is The page cannot be displayed page!

Ver 5.1

I can upload large jpgs 2mb or so

Admin Maximum multimedia upload size in Kb is set to 16000 kb

Acceptable multimedia file types = .mpeg,.mpg,.avi,.asf,.wmv,.mov

bypass approval process was checked

php upload_max_filesize 2M


Is there something I need to do first?

You would need to adjust the php max uploads to 16KB in the php.ini file

I thought so, but are we allowed to change this file, or dshould I ask my Isp?

Hi..

You need to ask your isp/host to increase the "php upload_max_filesize" - the default is 2-Meg your 9-Meg video would have just continued to upload and would have been junked by the server.
