Let the users decide to watermark their pics or not? Hi there, I still use PP 4.8.1 because of heavy and painful style/layout modifications and I do not want to update too soon again ;) But I need a feature and would like to ask if this is somehow implemented yet in the PP 5.1 or if it is planned to be implemented soon: Is there a feature to let the users decide if their photos shell be watermarked or not? Or in general to avoid watermarking for single photos by the users? The background of this is, that the professional photographers in my forums do have their own copyright message in their photos. Most of the "normal" users do not have their own watermark but request for automatic watermarking. The solution would be, if the photographers could decide while uploading if the photo shell be watermarked or not... So, does such a feature already exist, please? I did not exactly get the point if the new IPS would be good for this... Thanks a lot, Pyro |
Basically you can set which usergroup has there images watermarked or not in category permissions. If you have some users you want to exclude you would place them in a special group and set permissions according |
Thanks a lot for the fast answer. Since the usergroups are from vB forums its not the best solution but a possible way. Since when is this configuration included? I didn't found it in usergroup configuration dialog in PP 4.8.1 Thanks! |
In edit categories down bottom are watermark permissions per usergroup for each cat |
This is not there in 4.8.1 so I believe its a new feature of 5.x.... |
Maybe 4.8.2 it has been around awhile |
