URL problems when moving images

I have vb3 intergrated with the new version of PP gallery.

In the previous version of PP I could move an image from one category to another, and it wouldn't effect the URL of the image.

However, now when I do this, the URL changes, and if someone has posted the image on my forum, we get a load of red X's!

Why is this? And is there anyway of going back?

People have a habbit of uploading images to the wrong place, and it means that I have to move them and then change the [img*] tags in their post. VERY annoying.

Any help on this matter would be great

For instance, move this image from one cat to another
http://gallery.***.co.uk/509/weller.JPG

Produces this:
http://gallery.***.co.uk/508/weller.JPG

I dont think in any version of Photopost if you moved an image the url would not change. If you move it it is moved

EXAMPLE

http://www.domain.com/photopost/data/502/image.jpg

you move it to cat 505

http://www.domain.com/photopost/data/505/image.jpg

The url has always changed from my recollection. I have owned Photopost php since it came out years ago and this has always been the case.

Well I'm pretty sure it didn't used to
Didn't the one in the past use the users ID as a directory name? Hence that would never change?

It's quite annoying though, so I assume there's no work around?

Nope files where never stored in userid directories. They have always been in numeric categories to my knowledge. I beleive they where stored in a data directory with no cat id back in the perl version but in the upgrade 2.52 script the new category directories are created in data but again this happened when php version of Photopost came out. Thus a file link would have been in the perl version

http://www.domain.com/photopost/data/useridimage.jpg

No workaround that I am aware of or can think of for you.
