KeyWords Using Bulk Upload

Is there a way to insert keywords while using the bulk upload without having to type or paste them into each individual photo under the “Optional Info” page..?

An example would be “Enter a title for the photo:” and the “Photo Description” fields that currently exist on the bulk upload section…?

The fields already exist so the only way for you to have the same thing is to run a mass query on the database or temporarily hardcode the $keywords variable in bulkupload.php to a set string.

well I guess you could do this at line 658 of image-inc.php

$ikeywords = addslashes( $keywords );

above that add this

$keywords="Keyword1 Keyword2 Keyword3 Keyword4";

Thats if you want every photo to have the same keyword

Why would we add some hard coded variable to our program? This is a step backwards IMO and only works for someone who wants keywords the same for every photo which is not what the majority of our users would want or need.

agree, neither i am looking for same keywords for all photos but the point being if a user uploads only 1 photo to gallery, its directly uploaded without allowing user to add comments to same ?

also for a couple of photos, some users need to add same keywords, so why not provide an option to let them add additional keywords on same uploads page and again take them to image processing list ?

Regards,

I would PREFER NOT to hard code myself, nor take PhotoPost in the wrong direction.

I sincerely believe adding an option to include Keywords to the bulk upload page a major improvement….

For example if I have 150 images that I am bulk uploading that contain the same subject matter, I want the same keywords added to all the images… JUST like the ALREADY existing “Enter a description for the photo(s)” field in the upload section..

Personally I can NOT see how this would be a step backwards…?

For now I’ll keep hard coding, I just wanted let you know I’m still interested in seeing this get added to the core….
