Expand/Collapse on Admin categories screen

I notice the categories screen in the demo admin panel has the functionality to expand/collapse categories with sub categories.

This is not working on my installation (ver 5.03). How do I activate it?

I do beleive the expand collapse only goes into affect if you over a certain number of parent and children categories.

Reason being on certain installs it was bogging down the display of the admin cat page
