upload only catagory
 

Hi
I have set a catagory for people to upload their photos, only uploader and moderators can see the photos, I set permissions for registered users to upload but not view the catagory, but they can not upload, if I set it so they can view, then they can see everything in that catgory

What am I doing wrong?

To be able to upload to a category they must be able to have permission to view it. That is like the master permission. Not being able to view it means dont show the cat

what if I give them a link to the cat, can they still upload nut not view other's uploads?

There is no way to give someone permission to upload to a cat without having permission to enter it in the first place.

Do you see where I am going here. To be able to allow people to upload to it you must set the able to view the images within it

Is there a way to do so, I dont mind paying for a hack or something.

I also need to import from VBA Gallery to photopost, do you know of any script that would do so.
