... make standard sessions work with photopost?

Hi,

background:
Iīm using UBBT, I need users to login at least once a day, through our mainpage, because I want to close the gap between community and content.
I couldnīt do this using cookies. When cookies where set to 24 hours, they expired exactly 24 hours laters, even when you just finished writing a novel and hit submit, boom - all gone

So I *have* to use sessions.
how can I make photopost work with this?
"cookieprefix" in config.inc.php is obsolete, I assume - where can I look, naturally it wonīt let me see the admin panel anymore.

I canīt switch back to cookies and back to sessions one more time, or community trolls will kill me!

thanks in advance!

Well if Threads uses true sessions you cant do it without Photopost without modifying every file to pass the session variable in the url.

We don't support sessions with .threads; so not sure what to tell you since we're coded for cookie support. You can look in forums/threads.php for all of the cookie-related info regarding .threads, though.

But, like Chuck said, the problem then becomes the passing of session info via URLs.

Luckily Iīm not using the transid feature, that passes the sid in the URL. Iīm using session cookies, as configured in php.ini
Basically itīs a cookie like the one from threads, itīs just this one can extend itīs lifespan with each click, while the standard cookie is unflexible.

So itīs just a cookie names PHPSESSID
