How do I allow moderators to add subcategories? The "Edit Categories" link in the admin does not seem to be there for moderators.

I dont think you can.. I would like this too, but also to maybe allow normal users to as well... I have lots of events that people go to and upload photos where I need to manually move them around.
If you could set permissions on a category to allow users to add to it, this would be great ! |

No presently this is not a feature. The moderators option allows moderators more permissions much more like forum moderators but nothing this global.
Even in forum software this is not a feature thus was not considered in ours either. Moderators do not have global permission features

Yes but permissions in most software is the same and how we also apply permissions. When we added moderators they are not coded to have the same permission as a moderator.
In every product I have seen moderators can not add global elements.

Who said global? The admin sets the moderator their section and then they can only add categories within that section.

You can gladly post a hack request on this as from a support perspective we answered how the software is coded almost a year ago.
Photopost is coded just like vbulletin is for example and most any forum or gallery product. A moderator can not create a forum in vbulletin and thus same thing a moderator can not create a category.

No problem but I am merely keeping this thread on target here since it is a HOW DO I work the program thread. Thus if this is something you have a specific need for that is not a function of the software you might want to try the modification forums.
