How do I tell what version I am running?

Second, when I run the backup it says 0 byte in all the sql files, why? How do I figure out the sqldump dir?

Thanks

The version number you are running is contained in the footer with the copyright displayed on every page.

The sql dir is set in the config-inc.php or in the Admin options depending on your version.
