how to get recent reviews?
how do i query the database independantly of review post to get the latest reviews?

You would perform a SELECT on the reviews table sorting by DATE; we do this on the index.php script to grab the latest. You might want to consult http://www.photopostdev.com is you are looking to develop a module.
