Rebuild med images stops halfway

4.8.6 I've tried rebuilding med images and it repeatedly stops at about the half-way mark - last pic showing #507...
On the page it stops at it doesn't show link at bottom - Click to refresh/review errors etc. so there's nothing I can do but quit.

I had previously set quality to 100,(thinking it only would improve thumb quality) but it also made med images too large (K).
Now I can't return half my latest medium images back to their lower K.

What's my next step to solve this prob?

Well, I circumvented this problem by rebuilding as per individual cat.

Though, with rebuild med images all cats would always stall at pic #507,
when I rebuilt the images in the cat it was located in, it processed this pic without a prob.
Such are the mysteries of IT !

Thanks for the additionial option, it's most helpful as my script was routinely timing out.

One thing I'm wondering, is there any way to have it apply to all the sub-categories under the top level category you select? I've got a lot of categories, but only about 10 top level cats. That would be a nice way to break it up if it would include the sub-categories for each top level cat.
