Upgrade to 5 and photos gone

Dunno if it's related to the following but all photos/thumbs not viewable after upgrade:
Somehow with the upgrade (read the upgrade.txt file) there was nothing said about chmod 777 of thumbs mini medium folders after upload, didn't give it any thought anyway. Upgrade script tried to move files into the thumb dirs,after 10 minutes it displayed permission error, but it said just needed to adjust the permissions and refreshed again.

Now I think when it moves the files once it adds a userid to it, but now it has done this twice result all user id's are double in the filename. (saw this in phpmyadmin)

So is it possible to get a sql query that strips of the first digit of the filenames in mysql table photos?

Or is there another way to link them again?

It's only in mysql it added the userid twice, photos were not touched

Step 3 can not be ran twice. Only thing to do would be to restore the 4.8.6 photos table and run the upgrade again.

No problem you get scared after setting permissions to 777 give me a shout if I am still around and I will give a hand running upgrade like I did for a couple users who where biting there tongues

Thanks Omegatron, fixed it, with ssh I restored previous db version. Ran upgrade script again (gave a remark that 3 tables existed, but I thought sure they have to be there ) continued installation and tataa worked as it should.

I took a shot of whiskey and my tongue crawled back up.

Yeah I think the few issues users have is a couple of there data cats dont have 777 permissions and they arent aware of it and thus you get this error.

Permissions need to be explicitly 777
