How do I setup the Featured Photo / Random Image on index vB page?

Hello!

I have vB 3.0.7 and PhotoPost 5.0 installed at the ulver.com site.

1. How do I setup the Featured Photo / Random Image on the home vB page?
2. I've made full integration with vB3, but don't know why the Replacement {header} is not working.
As you can see on the main photopost page, the bgcolor="{header}" in every style is always green, so it isn't working. What's wrong?
3. I have several languages on vB3 and want to implement photopost phrases (of the different languages) to the vB3 phrases so it would be global language interface for vB3 and PhotoPost. Is it possible?

Thank you.

1. This thread should help you

PhotoPost Enhanced vB3 Index Integration

2. I dont know what you mean by this? Your using the vbheader include which means we pull in the $header from VB3 It looks right to me when I see your site. Thats the same header as VB has.

3. There is currently no automatic language switching support in Photopost since for us to include that in our distribution we would need to include language support for every language every forum we integrate with. That is quite a dawnting task as we have a hard enough time getting users to submit user languages for the languages we support let alone translating new languages that some forums support that we dont.

The task of making it automatic is not that hard a thing to do. If you make a language file for Photopost in your language directory for every language your forum supports then you can post a thread over at the hack site http://www.photopostdev.com since file modifications are not discussed at product support and I will see if I can post simply what modifications are needed to your vb3.php and pp-inc.php file to autoload the new language files you have based on the VB language settings.

1. Thank you

2. I don't mean $header from VB3. I'll try to explain. I have the Replacement Variable '{header}', changed when you toggled to another style (I have two dark and two light styles). It is the background color of the upper menu and it works without problem in forum. You can change style in http://valhalla.ulver.com/ and see result.
But the PhotoPost gallery this Replacement Variable doesn't work. I don't know why! You can see in my gallery http://photo.ulver.com/ that in every style it stays as the raw code '{header}' in the page source and doesn't replaced with color defined at the Replacement Variables section.

3. Ok, thank you. I'll post a thread at the http://www.photopostdev.com and give you link here to the topic.

We pull the header template in VB3 thats why it does not work.

I assume if the header templates where different in each VB3 style it would work.

Looking at our header include file that it is coded to pull any replacement values.

Yes, I get it works after I replaced Replacement Variable in every style to the real color. Please, fix this problem in future version.

3. I've found http://www.photopostdev.com/showthread.php?t=654 topic with the last post string

Hope that that might become a feature in the future!
I hope too..
Could you suggest in that thread modification to the 5.0 version with existing languages (english.php and swedish.php for example)?

Thank you for your time.

2. We will look at including replacement header variables in a future version but again we never supported replacement header variables at this time.

Again I would not look for automatic language selection between Photopost and our forums we support anytime soon.

As stated user participation on submitting language packs has been very very bad so until something changes drastically where we could be able to supply every different language translations that are offered in every forum we support I dont think you will see this as a feature in our product.

We do not have the ability to write say 15 different language files. Most any software product I know relies on user submissions in this aspect.
