Is there anyway to completely hide the links "MY PHOTOS" and "MY FAVORITES" and any other reference to these throughout the site? I have both of these set to no, but cannot get them to disapear from the screens.
As far as I can tell there is no way to do this.
I really don't want my members to see these links. Were basically feeding them a carrot, when they see this and they are going to ask me why they cant have the member galleries or favorites and I will have to give them an answer and would rather avoid it altogether.
If they are set not to be used through the admin cp then the links or features should be hidden as well from view. Why would we want to display something that they dont have permission to use, just to have them click on it and have it to tell them "You dont have permission"???
This is one thing I still don't understand is the "way of thinking" of the people who do the coding of these various programs offered by photo post, Jelsoft,
VB Advanced, and etc... They all seem to do this with alot of things and why they don't offer the option to hide these when a setting is set to "Disabled" I will never know.
It just seems like a common sense thing to me.
Chuck and Mike, I hope you will act on my 'suggestion' and try to change the way things are done with these programs regarding this 'hiding' of links in the near future, we really need a better way of doing this and I just hope that the 'others' will follow this.
