phpBB and Photopost followup question

My phpBB board and Photopost gallery now share the one user database, that of phpBB. When I log into phpBB as JohnDoe and then move over to Photopost I am greeted with "Welcome JohnDoe" which appears to be correct. But I do not see my "upload photos" link.
And when I sign into phpBB as Admin and then move over to PhotoPost I am greeted with "Welcome Admin" but I do not see the Admin link.
So I appear to have the shared user database and the navigation as I was after but I appear to be missing authorities.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

I may have missed how the shared user database was supposed to work. I was hoping my users could sign on from within the forum and not have to sign back on again when they went to the photogallery. That appears to be the case with the exception of what they can do when they get to the gallery (see above). But I was also expecting my users to be able to sign in through the gallery (if they did not go to the forum first). But when I try that I get a message saying SignOn Successfull but the Wecome message continues to say Welcome to the Gallery, and not Welcome John Doe and when I move over to the forum I see a LogIn option where I would normally see LogOut(John Doe). Was my understanding of how the shared database would work way off base?
Also: admin was set up in both databases before I made the changes to share the user database. I also set up all Photpost users in phpBB before make the changes. I tried deleting and setting up the JohnDoe account to see if that impacted anything but it appears to be the same.

Sorry nexia, your post came in while I was typing my additional comments. Are saying I should go into the phpBB UserGroups and set up Admin, Registered, etc. to match my PhotoPost user groups. That makes sense but as I understand phpBB new users are not automatically assigned to a group so I would have to flag each one as a member of the Registered User Group manually (?)

After reading through other threads, especially ones concerning being unable to access the admin panel I found the note about usergroups "Anonymous" "Administrator" and "Regular Users"
So I set these up in phpBB and sync'd up the UserGroups using the "Refresh usergroups from your forum software"
Now when I sign on in phpBB as Admin and then go to PhotoPost it recognizes me as Admin and I can access the control panel. And when I sign onto phpBB as a regular user and then go to PhotoPost it give me the proper welcom and allows me to upload photos. All of that looks fine.
But I cannot do the following:
1. Sign in at PhotoPost to start with...It says logging in but does not. I have to go to the forum to log in.
2. Sign out at PhotoPost...It says logging out but does not. I have to to the forum to log out.
This is frustrating because the major of my users will want to sign in through PhotoPost, that is the more used section of my site.
Any suggestions?
thanks
