Where is <!DOCTYPE...>

I need to remove the very first line of code

<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dt">

It seems to break my dynamic menu.

My problem is where is this located?? I look in several files, but could not find it.

I found this in pp-inc.php

Does it do any harm in removing it. Once I did, my dynamic menu (javescript) worked properly.

In PP5 we've moved these to the langauge files ot make them lang specific.
