How to make `Recent Photos' work like view all recent pics?

I have the Most Recent bar at the top, and I would like this to work in the same way as viewing most recent (ALL pics).

In other words our regulars who want to see whats new can just click on a pic and follow the pic sequence to the pics since their last visit.

Is this possible to do?

Not really, not without modifying the code that i can think of.
