Thumbnails on forum page

I am going to upgrade to vbb 3 and vbportal 3 in a couple days.
I finally found some help to get this done.
How did you get the 5 thumbnails to show across the forum page here at Photopost.com. Can if be integrated from 4.8.5 onto the forum page or is it a special hack.
I have been using thumbincluder on my VBB 2 forum to get the same thumbnails to show on my site on the forum page.

Thanks Michael. That is what I needed.

Question....When we do upgrades in the future will we need to redo the inc_features.php and inc_photopost.php each time we do an upgrade or will these be prety much left as is once they are edited to work on a forum.

Happy Holidays to you also.

Michael we ahve tryed ti Integrate the thumbnails into my forum page but get black thumbnails showing with no image. I posted a thread Here.

I read your above thread and don't ahve the same files in index.php that you say to add two files under. Would that be reason for thumbs not showing on my forum page.
Link to my site is in above thread. I be glad to give admin access if needed so someone can help me get this problem solved. Thanks

omegatron I am so confused.
I copyed what Michel said to do in that link he gave me and I am getting no thumbs to show, only black images.
We are only following his instructions or trying to do as he has said.

If that is the wrong way will you please expalin how with the supported files we have.

What we added in index.php is this code he said to add

include('/home/iloco/public_html/photopost/inc_features.php');
include('/home/iloco/public_html/photopost/inc_photopost.php');

We added the information in the inc_features.php and inc_photopost.php that we were given but it dont show as here on your forum page.

I do want to use the current supported files and get it working as the ones on this forum.

My response is to this so maybe I am confused as that reads to me that you do not have the new hack installed.

This thread does indeed outline the steps you need to take

PhotoPost Enhanced vB3 Index Integration

what are your permissions to view pictures?

Do you have a url for me to look at?

You are the man omegatron. You got eagle eyes.
We can see thumbs now but..............
I hate to keep bothering you but I have thumbs set for the square ones in cpanel and the thumbs are trying to show round. Also I have no idea why all the wording is being picked up and shown below the thumbs.
I was hoping it would show as you have thumbs showing here on the forum.

Found the / where should been a period. Thanks very much.

We also have it set for latest image but random is all that will show. Still some little something just isn't right.

The hack that is now included in Photopost and supported is the one included in the distrubtion and is rounded thumbs on the forum. Much like the old unsupported hack was just regular thumbs.

You may modify the code to suit your needs.

Thanks you for the explanation.
May I ask why it want see the latest images and is only showing random when its set in files for latest image.

// which type of images do you want to show (random, most_view, latest)
$q_switch = "latest";

Its also picking up lots of wording under the thumbs and not the name of the image.
I thought the Integration would show as what you have here on this forum. Something is still not right and would love to get it fixed and get out of your way.

WE got it all fixed now except the Latest Image will not work when we set the switch to Latest Image. It still displays random images.
If we can get this part working then I think we are finished.
