Recent Photos will not leave front page

1. Turn "Do you want to use the forum-style layout?" off.
2. Turn Show Most Recent Additions on Index page? off.
3. Go to front page and see that the most recent images are still on the front page.
4. Turn "Show Most Recent Additions on Index page?" back on.
5. Go to front page and see that recent images are now gone.

Please tell me what code I need to edit so I can have both recent images off, and the non-forum layout.

I also noticed that when I disabled my sidebar, I lost any way for users to search. When looking into the code I found something that look to indicate that if the sidebar was disabled, that a search link should be displaying at the top with other links, but it never seemed to work. I fixed this problem myself, but it seemed like the code for it showing at the top if the sidebar was disabled didn't work.

Hopefully this info helps you track down these bugs, and I'm hoping you can give me the proper code to fix bug 1, as I've already begun to change my code, so performing a standard PP update will no longer work for me to fix these bugs.

On a sidenote, I do not believe any of my additions to my PP install has caused these bugs, but it should be fairly easy for you to determine that from the descriptions I've given to re-create the bugs.

You can not have the recent images off and use the new categories sidebar things because the way the feature is designed by nature the recent photos show.

Your free to modify your index.php file anywhich way you want to but we do not support code alternations.

Content visible to verified customers only.

That code is very specific it says exactly what to display depending on what conditions are chosen.

If you elect to use the old forum style then the old style forum layout is shown there.

If your using a mobile device then only the new cats display is shown

If your using the new layout the the recent photos are suppose to show.

haha, I've been busy, I got around to it today. It worked, when I took out the proper lines.

I just always expect something different than what I get with photopost. I'm trying to turn it into a gallery type script, and not so much a photo script, if that makes sense. More focus on thumbnails that lead to galleries of images.

I looked all over before buying photopost, and it had the best foundation, and I already knew some of the code. I was just hoping a few things had changed with it, but it's still just as hard to get things altered in it as I remember. Not being a programmer isn't helping me.

Yeah well our script has alot of options etc so alot of things can be turned on or off but for instance there are some people you being one of them who have different visions thats fine that is why people mod things. Your liability is right on not being a programmer that does hinder you alot in doing some of the things you want.

Like for us we code things up how we envision a photo gallery script should be. For instance if your not electing to show the old style forum categories layout but instead show a cat box on the sidebar then the logical step is since you have this huge empty part of the program would be to show the recent photos. That is how we invision it.
