Wide Pop Up Photos Being Forced Tall Instead Of Wide

When uploading a wide photo, the pop up is being forced to display a stretch tall photo, instead of showing the larger wide image.

Any ideas how this could happen?

Thank you.

PhotoPost Community - Announcements in Forum : Photopost Pro Installation & Upgrades

What version of the software are we discussing and please provide a url. It is crutial when asking for support to provide information for us to see your issue. Otherwise all I have to go on is looking at other sites and I am not seeing any issue there. Have you modified your files? Is your gallery using older code or mixed matched files? There is about as clean an install as one can do using our PP 8.22

DSCN0732 - My Photo Gallery

I take it your talking the normal popup and an image that is wider than taller so that should be what your discussing from what I can tell. It seems to display fine.

My normal response here would be to make sure your running the latest code and that all files have been uploaded and not modified. I think there would be no issues if that is done here.

Looks like we finally figured out what is going on.

First we started having issues with VBulletin Blog Comments - fixed width is not restricting large images to fixed width, they are expanding outside of the frame. I can supply screenshots and/or links via pm only, upon request.

So we started a support ticket and forum request for support at VBulletin.com
https://www.vbulletin.com/forum/show...es-In-Comments

We tried the suggested fix and it worked, however then our pop up large images, were being stretched tall, instead of wide. It seems that the fix for the blog issue also edited something having to do with Photopost pop up large images.

We have removed the fix and now the pop ups are back to normal again, however we are now stuck with the same VB blog issue and cannot get support from them, because they don't support us while your plugin is installed.

So the ping pong match is in your court now, how can we proceed to resolve this?

Thanks.

This is not our issue though.

Our popup window does not use the vbulletin class your referring to so I can not say why you would have an issue with adding that css class which is used for the blog.

I do have one suggestion though. Is if your absolutely sure the issue with that addition to your style DO NOT put the change in the additional.css template put it in the blog.css template. I do not believe the blog.css file should be called by our program but additional.css is.

Making sure you but it in blog.css makes sure it does not interfere with anything but the blog.

The problem is with the css they gave you is in there suggestion of placing it in the additional.css file. That file is loaded for every single vb page so in essense that css will make every img tag have a 400 pixel width max which is the heart of the issue.

Placing it only in the blog.css which is only loaded on your blog pages where your issue is the correct response I would think.
