Upgrade from v7.01 to v8 crashed gallery and forum completely

Hello,

I've just upgraded PhotoPost from version 7.01 to 8. After that I've got a message "Table 'newforum*****.pp_photos' doesn't exist" where "newforum*****" is the name of the forum database (vb4).

I copied all files except config-inc.php and config-int.php to the gallery's directory.
Upgrade of the base's script was done successfully.

How can I get rid of the problem, because it crashed not only gallery, but the forum itself too?

My forum is quite popular... If the problem is too complicated and cannot be fixed quickly, is it possible to make alive the forum only for now, and then get down to the issue with gallery's base?

Providing information urls might help

I would suspect you upgraded and overwrote your config files and put in wrong info

Basically that error says your photopost tables do not exist where you are saying they are

Which URLs should I provide? URL of my web site with forum and/or gallery or something other?
It seems all bases and configs are in the right places.

Can I comment something in settings to quick restore loading of forum's pages without queries to the database of gallery?

You can make sure depending on where your error is that your config-inc.php file has the proper database info for both forum and gallery and in your forum if your using plugins to show info on the forum in the actual plugin global variables for that plugin specify the proper database info where asked or reapply any plugins after you fix your gallery errors.

What I am saying is unless I see the actual physical urls and errors I am just guessing here by what your posting.

Here are URLs:
==========
==========

Please remove spaces between W – I had to insert them because of the forum rule (I have less than 15 posts yet).

File config-inc.php couldn't be overwritten, I didn't touch it at all. I just re-checked it and then restore it from the backup, but it didn't help.

Your gallery looks operational.

Your forum is the one I see the issue on and that is as I already responded if your using a code mod in your forum to display gallery stuff there you want to check the information your using in that code mod.

Please read the upgrade documentation in the documentations folder of the downloaded code and follow the instructions for vb4 and that should resolve any issue you have.

I see you found your plugin was your problem not the gallery.

You can uninstall the gallery by deleting its database tables and removing the gallery directory.

However as I stated if you follow the upgrade instructions in the documentations folder you should see a forum and gallery much like this example

http://www.reeftalk.com/forums/forum.php

http://www.reeftalk.com/gallery/index.php
