Flash Uploader - Security Error

My Flash Uploader stopped working today. I'm getting a "Security Error" for each image instead of the progress bars.

My first thought is that a recent Flash update has caused a conflict with my version of the uploader. If you agree, how do you update the Flash Uploader?

Thank you

Never mind... I solved it...

The only thing that changed in the past day on the site was the addition of some code in the .htaccess file to force the site to always be displayed with the "www". Some of my settings in admin had URLs without the "www". I added "www" to all URLs defined in the admin, and it all works again.

I am also getting a Security Error when uploading jpg images since upgrading. Not sure whether it is a flash problem though?

The flash uploader does not work with mod security set on on the server as well as a slew of other server things like htaccess issues etc.

This is exactly why we include an on off switch because it is not compatible with all environments.

we refused to put a flash uploader for years in our software because one of the main things we do is ensure everything works in all environments but we relented and put one in finally but it is an option. You can turn it on or off as you wish if it works for you.
