admin text link disappeared -- all of the sudden My Gallery has been working great for years... but today, all of the sudden the Gallery's admin link is missing and the page looks like it has the style-sheet corrupted. (I was already logged in for the Forum) Site Info: Our Gallery - Main Index - Powered by PhotoPost Integrated with vB3 vBulletin Version 3.5.4 Also, when I click on the "register" text link of the gallery, I get this error: Warning: include(/XXXX/XXXX/public_html/GALLERY/templates/vb3enhanced/register.tmpl) [function.include]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /XXXX/XXXX/public_html/GALLERY/register.php on line 131 Warning: include() [function.include]: Failed opening '/XXXX/XXXX/public_html/GALLERY/templates/vb3enhanced/register.tmpl' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /XXXX/XXXX/public_html/GALLERY/register.php on line 131 The gallery is still visible and I can see the images, but when I click on a Gallery, there is no upload text link either. (even thought I am already logged in) I switch to the default template to see if I get my links back, but they didn't. My understanding is that the register.php file is not included with my photopost version, but I do not understand why is trying to use it. I'll appreciate anyone's help. Thanks, |
well I am not at all familiar with your version of vbgallery, so help is difficult. but at first sight.. there are 3 possibilities. A. you got hacked (I do not think so.. as there would be more problems than that) B. For some reason the file register.php got deleted. things like that happen.. even on a normal computer that doesnt run 24h/24h after some time the harddisk or something else starts to get errors. C. Your provider upgraded PHP... or added some Patch giving internal errors. Now personnally I do not understand how you could be running vb 3.54 on a normal server. because I had problems running vb 3.7 on my server. too many errors could not install. vbgallery 2.2 can not be installed either under php 5.34 But I suspect C to be the cause. or B where it can be any file needed by the system. Try to find your last backup and restore at least the files. Luc |
Thanks for the tips... here are my answers: The photopost version is 5.3 (at least the zip file was named photopost53.zip) since I can't loggin (still missing admin link) then I am not exactly sure which version I am running) Also, trying to directly loggin using this http://xxx/xxx/GALLERY/adm-index.php does not work. I entered the correct admin user name and password and it always say that is incorrect. This file /XXXX/XXXX/public_html/GALLERY/register.php exists, but is looking for this file: /XXXX/XXXX/public_html/GALLERY/templates/vb3enhanced/register.tmpl And register.tmpl only exists in /XXXX/XXXX/public_html/GALLERY/templates/register.tmpl I looked at the original installation (unzip the original file) and the file does not exists in the vb3enhanced directory either, so I am thinking that is not supposed to be there. thanks again. |
It almost seems like the Gallery does not know that is supposed to be linked to the vbulletin. It does not recognizes the admin that works on the vbullentin. |
Ahhh you are using photopost pro... because this is the vBGallery forum.. I have not used photopost.. so I would not be of any help.. Moving this to photopost forum... Luc |
Ohhh... OK. thanks! |
Most likely you left your install script online and someone reinstalled the gallery incorrectly as right now its looking for registration in photopost where it should be looking for vb's registration You need to run the install and correctly reinstall. |
Does it matter that the vb forum is already installed? or do I need to uninstall the forum before installing photopost again? (and then re-install the vbulleting?) It has been so long since I initially installed that I don't remember which one I installed first. Thanks, |
no leave your forum alone. just reinstall the gallery to integrate with your forum and delete the gallery install script |
Ok... now this is getting fun... I am now getting these errors: (immediately after I completed the install) Warning: chdir() [function.chdir]: No such file or directory (errno 2) in /home2/mxfimrk/public_html/GALLERY/header-inc.php on line 60 Warning: require(./global.php) [function.require]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home2/mxfimrk/public_html/GALLERY/header-inc.php on line 61 Fatal error: require() [function.require]: Failed opening required './global.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home2/mxfimrk/public_html/GALLERY/header-inc.php on line 61 |
I figure out what happend. I entered the incorrect path for the vbullentin forum. Things look good now!! YEAHH!!!:):) Thanks for all your help!! |
Actually... I just found another little glitch.... I can't log in to the Photopost admin. If I loggin using the same Administrator name that successfully logs on the vbulletin, it post a quick "successful" message, then it automatically disconnect me. If I click on the "forgot my password" link using the same administrator, it says that the user does not exist... Any ideas as to what could be going on? Thanks, |
OK. I figure it out... I had forgotten to enter the default "bb" value for the cookies prefix. :):) |
Yep install with the correct info and it works. For future reference there is is FAQ thread in the FAQ forum which has all the common issues with vbulletin that shows resolutions to posts like above. http://www.photopost.com/forum/photo...solutions.html |
