7.03 update showing private galleries

We just performed the 7.03 update on our 7.02 PhotoPost ... and suddenly any gallery marked private became viewable to anyone.

The new pp-inc file is the culprit. When I roll that one back, private galleries work like they should.

(and needless to say, I'm leaving the old pp-inc in until this has been swatted)

We downloaded the 7.03 today, it's the build from 10-22. I replaced ONLY the files listed in Chuck's file listing at:

What do you mean private galleries? where are things showing?

Chuck, I don't administer the galleries, I just support the back end. But here's how it was explained to me.

PhotoPost allows you to set some galleries to be visible by default to everyone. And some galleries, you must be logged in to see. Still other galleries are able to be made private by allowing only a specific group of people to access it.

These latter ones are what I mean by private galleries. If there's another way to accomplish a private gallery in PhotoPost, I'm all ears.

And things are showing ... everywhere, to anyone. Galleries and the photos in them, which before this update could only be viewed by the small group of staff which had access specifically turned on, one by one, manually, can be viewed by someone not even logged in.

Here is a gallery I set viewing permissions for guests not to see and if you click you will see you dont have permission to see

I would suggest you view your category viewing permissions. Now realize that if a user belongs to multiple groups the best permissions will be used so if one of the groups he belongs to can see the cat he can see it.

Well, all I can report is that right now with the previous pp-inc (7.02) the galleries which are visible only to staff are private, and working correctly. Here's a link to one - you won't see inside:

But if I put back the pp-inc for 7.03, you would be able to see them even if you are a guest or if you're logged in but not staff.

Clearly there's *something* that changed in pp-inc in the 7.03 update.

You can send us ftp access a login etc and more info but I am running the 7.03 code where I showed you and it works fine.
