"(" and ")" in URL replaced by "28" and "29"

Hi,

After upgrading the gallery yesterday, and turning the "SEO" urls on, I am having issues as I have categories with "(parentheses)" in them

defencetalk.com/pictures/b-228usa-29/p38379-usaf-b-2-spirit-stealth-bomber.html

If category name has "parentheses" (like Air Force (USA) then they are replaced by "28name-29".

Can we fix this SOON?

Try making the ppurlsafe function in pp-inc.php this

Had same issue with [ and ] being replaced by 5 and 6 but I fixed that as well.

I tried same with "&" character but it did not work... what am I missing?

Why is this thing not part of the code anyway?

I'm going to add on to this thread, since the other one I had been posting in wasn't in the bug area. I think there's a lot of extra characters out there that need some rewriting love.

My concern is, if they aren't added quickly, then anything I have indexed in search engines is going to 404 when I update. I'd like to see the other characters added as soon as possible.

commas, ampersands rewritten to 'and' in addition to the brackets and parenthesis you've corrected. The others don't seem as easily remedied.
