comment counts on a category not correct
 

I just noticed that the count for how many comments have been made so far in the contest category, come up as 8 when in fact there are no comments since I just moved out the old images and only 4 are there

After you click on the "Contest Current Week Entries "

you see the thumbs of 4 photos but no comments :confused:

You can rebuild counts in admin scan database but remember in a voting category you do not have comments persay as a vote would be considered a comment.

Thanks Chuck, I don't have the contest category set up for members to vote.
What exactly does rebuild counts do? does it only count comments made on photos?
I know last year sometime before we owned the website, but I was doing admin functions, I clicked on something that rebuilt the counts.
At one point, many of the long time members there had 1500 plus comments made on members photos.
Some members eventually deleted some or all of their photos for whatever reason, and when I rebuilt the count, many of them went down to under 500

Rebuild counts will rebuild the photo and comments counts yes.
