| admin photo functions - not so functional
Having one or two issues with the Photo Options dropdown, once a photo is selected ...
- Options aren't visible, the text and background are apparently the same color
- The above is partially solved by mousing over to highlight them, but ...
- Some options are not in their own slot. They can only be located by mousing to the right of visible options, then additional options show up, somewhat overlapping each other.
- Attempting to select these "overlapped" options doesn't always work. THey don't function.
An example is the delete function. None of the gallery admins have been able to make this work. Found it through mouse-over well to the right of "Close Comments." But trying to click on it has not activated the delete function.
Link to an album with several photos labeled "test for deletion" that you may experiment with. Link to an individual photo available for deletion as a test. And for seeing the issues with the Photo Options dropdown.

You are most likely selecting to show images not text so thats why you see no text.
simply sign in as admin and in showphoto options in admin set the options to use images in menus to NO.

In the admin screen Show Photo Options >
Use images for user menu options on showphoto? is already set to "no"
I re-saved and checked again to be sure, but there is no change. The user can see some of the text only with a mouseover. Selections are overlapping (invisibly,) and some aren't functional.

Well your responce seemed to indicate you where using images. Your links are highly visible to me and the move delete ONLY appears to admins not users. You click it and a move delete box appears below the photo description in the additional details section.

OK ... I'm the user and I can't use it ... so I need a little more help.
What do you mean by "highly visible?" There are 4 gallery admins on my site and none can see most of the selections without a mouse-over. Even then the print is tiny, the colors are washed out and it's hard to read/see, and not all selections can be captured as they overflow to the right. Are you saying you don't need to mouse-over to view these selections? You see more boxes with only 1 selection per box, and no overlaps of the selections? How can I adjust settings so we see that as well?
My admins have tried different browsers and we can't make the delete work. It's very hard to select at all as it is overflowing to the right of the screen and overlaps another selection. That's creating rather a mess as we try to organize.
It's really critical that I am able to get this resolved. It's affecting the usability of the gallery for my site.

If I view a photo with the login you provided and hit photo options I view all your text links very well thats what I mean by highly visible but you have changed your style colors it looks like to me making the link color white. Have you checked the forumhead blockhead or foruminfo styles. basically changing the link color to another color than white would work.

I can't find these in photopost admin. Yes of course I re-styled the forum appearance ... not sure why that would effect the photo edit dropdown? I am confused. Some of the selections are easily visible and others aren't, they aren't all the same color.
The real problem affecting use-ability right now is not so much the colors but that the move/delete link is not functioning. I don't think that's a color problem. I think it isn't selectable because of where it's positioned. The positioning of several of the links is what seems to be stopping the functionality.
How do I get the move/delete link selectable?

The move delete thing only appears to admins. regular users have to hit edit photo if you allow them to edit and then they only see move delete stuff if you allow these things.
I think there is some confiusion here first off on what should or should not appear.
I see edit photo as a regular user
anyway link colors etc would be defined in vb stylevars in vb admin yes.
Yours has been altered from the default style looks like to me.
One thing that might help is you want to make sure you upload the latest files from us as yours looks older.

Once again - it is the admins who are able to see but not invoke the move/delete function. The move/delete link is overlapping the other function links. Some of the links run together in the boxes where they appear. They are not on separate lines, or in separate boxes. I am sure you see this as well?
Feel free to use the links in posts above to try deleting one of the "test delete" photos. They were uploaded solely for that purpose and can be deleted.
I will update the files, from what you said in the other thread they can replace the existing files without running an upgrade script, I hope I understand the procedure correctly. This will fix the admin photo edit function? Will the new files make the links separate and not overlapping? Without the overlap it should be possible to select the link and use it?
Of course I have customized my forum's appearance. That should not break the gallery photo edit features.

If you hit move delete the box etc appears below the photo options as I had said before so it is there they are not looking for it.
You should update your files if your using older software yes because I know your template source I saw and its old so updating should help.
