Single User (registered) can not Upload images

I've got a single Member (registered user) authorized to upload photos that can not upload.

Goes to "Upload"
selects "Category" (any category)
Choose File
Enter Title
Enter description

then "Upload/Submit"

Hangs at the following URL forever:

I've tried logging in as user and get the same problem. I looked at the database and couldn't find any irregularities of that user (not that there isn't any).

I've logged in as a registered user and was able to post pics, no other reported problems from anyone else.

So any suggestions will as always be appreciated :)

what do you mean by hangs? white screen?

I get your using GD2 to process images

You can also clear out any numeric directories underneath the uploads directory via ftp.

Sorry, my multitasking brain is not functioning again..... :)

1. Yes, using GD2
2. Individual member trying to upload one or two pics.
3. White screen at the above mentioned link.

I don't understand your comment relating to "clear out numeric directories." Is there something in that members directory causing the white screen?

well possibly the photo is too large that GD2 hangs which is why I linked the post and suggested tweak in my initial reply try that and see if that works also you can clear out the uploads folder as they are images not processed yet.

Cleared the "upload" directory and that did the trick.

I have a better understanding of that folder, it's a temporary folder while images that are uploaded are placed. Once placed it removes the image from that folder. So there should be no images in the folder accept during the process of uploading. Is that correct?

yes correct
